Oak Cabin is one of two Scandinavian-inspired tiny homes here at Silvarum Retreats that are nestled on 40 private wooded acres in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Designed for deep rest and curated for comfort, the cabin features cathedral ceilings, modern styling and picture windows with views of the woods. Explore private wooded and creekside hiking trails, unwind in the barrel sauna, refresh under the cold shower or cozy up by the fire pit under the stars. Oak Cabin is handcrafted with a Nordic, minimalist design aesthetic intended to create a peaceful environment detached from the distractions of daily life. Tucked into the woods, the cabin's large windows encourage guests to explore the natural beauty of the great outdoors. Inside, we provide all the amenities one would expect from a luxury hotel stay. In keeping with this vision, the cabin is free from technology. We invite you to unplug and reconnect with what matters most. Oak Cabin's bedroom space features a plush king size mattress with okeo-tex linens. The full bathroom includes an apex window to let in natural light while maintaining privacy, a sink and toilet, as well as a cedar-lined shower with spa lighting. We provide clean, plant-based toiletries from The Good Fill. The kitchenette includes everything guests need to cook basic meals, including a small induction hot plate, under-counter refrigerator, essential dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils, and glasses—including wine glasses and outdoor tumblers. We also provide a large Blackstone flat-top grill for outdoor cooking. We provide salt, pepper and olive oil. For coffee and tea, we provide an electric kettle, an insulated French press and a burr coffee bean grinder. We also provide fresh coffee beans and a selection of organic tea options. The cabin comes equipped with a Sonos speaker to easily play music via bluetooth. A rechargeable lantern is also provided for indoor and outdoor use. Just off the front steps, you will find Oak Cabin's private outdoor area, which includes a fire pit and two Adirondack chairs, as well as a Blackstone flat-top grill. Fire wood is provided. Around the corner from Oak Cabin's private outdoor area, you can access our 40 acres of private forested and creekside trails (shared with just one other cabin). Additionally, Oak Cabin has access to our outdoor spa area, featuring a 6 person barrel sauna and outdoor cold shower under the stars (shared with one other cabin). For your enjoyment, we are happy to provide the following items upon request for use during your stay: • Hiking poles • Cornhole board with bags • Cooler We have one other cabin on the property, Maple Cabin. Rent out both cabins and invite some friends for an unforgettable weekend! You’ll get a private smart lock code the day of arrival for easy self check-in. You will have full access to Oak Cabin as well as shared access to 40 acres of wooded hiking trails and an outdoor spa area with a barrel sauna and cold shower. Your privacy is our priority. Although you will see the other cabin when you arrive, both cabins and outdoor areas are angled away from one another and overlook the woods for maximum privacy. The under-counter refrigerator does not include a freezer. We're happy to provide a cooler of use during your stay upon request. Simply message us when you book your stay. Please note that Oak Cabin does not have a television or Wifi—we hope you enjoy this peaceful time in the woods. There is reliable cellular service for any emergency. After booking, you will receive a link to complete a Sauna Waiver. To use the sauna, we must receive your completed waiver prior to the start of your stay. House Rules: • Maximum occupancy is 2 guests. • We are dog friendly and allow up to 2 dogs. There is a pet fee and a leash is required outdoors. Pets are not allowed on any furniture. Owner is responsible for any damage. • No smoking. • Quiet hours are from 9 pm to 9 am. • No parties or gatherings. No commercial photography or videography. • Must be 21+ to book.
